How do I create my first resume?
Click "New Resume" from the dashboard or sidebar. Choose a template, fill in your details, and use "Reframe with AI" to polish your bullet points. Your ATS score updates in real-time as you type.
What are tokens and how do they work?
Tokens power AI features. Each AI action costs a specific number of tokens (shown on every button). You get 25 free tokens on signup. Buy more anytime — purchased tokens never expire.
How do I switch languages?
Click the language selector in the header. The entire app switches instantly. When generating cover letters, you can also choose the output language separately.

How many templates are available?
We offer 30 professional templates across 4 categories: Professional, Creative, Technical, and Simple. Each works with PDF, DOCX, and TXT export.
How does the ATS score work?
Paste a job description and our ATS panel scores your resume in real-time. It checks keyword matches, format compatibility, and section completeness. The free version runs client-side; the AI analysis (3 tokens) gives detailed recommendations.
Can I use bold and italic in my descriptions?
Yes! The experience description field has a rich text toolbar with bold, italic, bullet lists, and numbered lists. Formatting carries through to PDF and DOCX exports.
How do I share my resume?
On the Resumes page, click the Share icon on any resume card. Toggle "Make public" to generate a shareable link (japply.io/r/...). Toggle off anytime to make it private again.

What is the AI Coach?
The AI Coach is a chat interface that can do everything — write summaries, check ATS scores, reframe bullets, generate cover letters, discover skills, and more. Just ask naturally and it uses the right tool automatically.
How does Skills Coach work?
Enter your target role and describe your background in your own words. AI discovers hidden skills, generates an elevator pitch, and maps your experience to professional language. You can add skills to your resume with one click.
What does the LinkedIn Optimizer do?
Paste your LinkedIn profile text and enter your target role. AI generates 3 headline options, rewrites your summary, improves your experience bullets, and suggests skills to add. Includes a profile score.
Billing & Tokens
Do tokens expire?
No. Purchased tokens never expire. Use them whenever you need them.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all purchases, no questions asked.
How do I cancel my Unlimited subscription?
Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription → Manage Subscription. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your billing period.
What happens if I run out of tokens?
You'll see a "Buy more tokens" link right in the error message. Click it to open the purchase modal without losing your form data.
Account & Security
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → scroll to "Delete Account". Type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes all your data including resumes, cover letters, applications, and remaining tokens.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), Row Level Security on all database tables, and never store payment credentials. Your resume data is only accessible by you.
Can I export all my data?
You can download each resume as PDF, DOCX, or TXT. Cover letters can be copied to clipboard. We're working on a full data export feature.
