japply vs Rezi: Pricing, Features and Free Plans (2026)

japply vs Rezi compared on pricing, free plans, cover letters, ATS checks and job search tools, using each company's published terms as of October 2026.

japply and Rezi are both AI resume builders, and the biggest difference between them is how you pay: Rezi sells a $29 monthly Pro subscription or a $149 lifetime plan, while japply sells one-time token packs, a $29 monthly unlimited plan and a $149 lifetime pack, and gives cover letters away free on every plan. Which one fits depends mostly on how long your search will run and how many tailored letters you write.

We make japply, so this comparison uses only what each company publishes on its own site. Rezi's details come from rezi.ai and rezi.ai/pricing, and japply's from japply.io/pricing and japply.io/features, all checked in October 2026. Plans change, so confirm on each site before you buy.

Pricing in practice

Rezi's model is simple: one subscription unlocks everything, or one payment unlocks it for life. If you will apply intensively for a month or two and want every feature from day one, that is easy to reason about.

japply's model is pay as you go. Token packs are one-time purchases, and purchased tokens never expire. You spend them on the AI tools you actually use, such as resume tailoring (5 tokens), interview prep (5 tokens) or AI ATS analysis (3 tokens), and cover letters cost nothing. If your search pauses for a few weeks, nothing renews in the meantime. The $29 monthly Unlimited plan exists for heavy users such as coaches and recruiters.

One honest note on the lifetime plans: both cost $149, and they work differently. Rezi describes its lifetime plan as "all features, one payment." japply's lifetime purchase is 10,000 tokens that never expire. That covers a lot of AI work, and it is still a balance that runs down as you use it.

Cover letters

This is where the two differ most for someone sending many applications. japply lists unlimited AI cover letters on every plan, generated natively in English, Finnish, German, French, Spanish or Swedish from the job description and, optionally, your resume. Rezi lists a cover letter generator among its features; check its pricing page for how that maps to the free and Pro plans.

If you write a tailored letter for each application, see the cover letter examples by job title for what a role-specific letter looks like.

Checking a resume against a job

Both tools score your resume against a job description. Rezi's Rezi Score and Keyword Targeting are listed under its Pro plan. japply's ATS checker is free, runs in your browser and needs no signup: paste your resume and the job description, and it shows matched and missing keywords and format checks. A deeper AI analysis inside the app costs 3 tokens.

A score from either tool is a guide to which terms and sections to adjust. It measures how well your resume's wording lines up with the posting.

Building the resume

Rezi lists more than 20 templates, including Modern, Harvard, Standard, Compact and Bold. japply has 30 resume templates with PDF and DOCX export, and you can try the resume builder as a guest before creating an account; saving and downloading need a free account. japply also has role-specific starting points across hundreds of job titles in its template gallery.

Beyond the resume

Rezi lists a job search tool, AI interview practice, an AI resume agent and a Chrome extension.

japply includes a job board inside the same account, an application tracker with list and kanban views where pasting a job URL from LinkedIn, Indeed or Glassdoor fills in the company, title and description, plus Interview Prep AI, a Skills Coach that finds transferable skills and writes an elevator pitch, and a LinkedIn optimizer. You can link a resume and a cover letter to each tracked application.

Where each one is the better fit

Rezi is likely the better fit if you:

  • want one subscription with every feature unlocked from the start
  • value a long track record and published security certification (Rezi states 4.5 million users since 2019 and SOC 2 certification)
  • want a 30-day refund window

japply is likely the better fit if you:

  • would rather pay once than subscribe, or expect your search to start and stop
  • write a cover letter for most applications, or apply in Finnish, German, French, Spanish or Swedish
  • want the job board, application tracker and resume tools in one account

Common questions

Is japply cheaper than Rezi?

For most job seekers, the entry cost is lower: japply's paid packs start at $9 one-time, against Rezi's $29 per month. Both have a $29 monthly unlimited option and a $149 lifetime option, with the difference in what lifetime includes described above.

Does either have a free plan worth using?

Both do. Rezi's free plan gives you one resume and three PDF downloads. japply's free account gives you 25 tokens and unlimited cover letters, and its ATS checker and guest resume builder can be used before you sign up.

Which one supports languages other than English?

japply generates cover letters natively in six languages and its interface is available in all six. Rezi's pages we checked did not list supported languages.

If the pay-as-you-go model sounds right for your search, you can start free with 25 tokens and no card.
